How to pronounce those “strange” French and Italian wine regions and wine names!  Well, here are several good sources for looking up terms.  The first one includes audio pronunciations to make it easier to impress your friends.

The links below are to other sites containing wine terms.  The Wine Definitions with Pronunciation site is particularly interesting due to its audio pronunciation feature.  You could spend hours in this site learning the correct pronunciation of the grape varieties.  Of course, your friends won’t know what you are talking about when you speak correct “wine-eez” and may even think you a wine snob.  So, be a snob!  You’ll have fun!  Remember, one of the secrets of life is to laugh a lot.  Surely, your friends will be laughing at you.

But, when you reach for that special Italian Tuscan wine in your Cavavin wine cabinet, you will take pride in the fact that you can read the label!
